Savita got support in the hour of grief after receiving an insurance amount of two lakhs

Under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Himachal Pradesh Gramin Bank branch Junga paid an insurance amount of two lakhs to a victim family. Branch manager Satish Kumar told that Ajay Sood (50 years), resident of Junga, had a savings account in his Gramin Bank. Ajay Sood died suddenly on March 25 due to some illness. He told that Ajay Sood had insured only Rs 436 on his savings account. In lieu of which the bank paid an amount of two lakhs in the bank account of his wife Savita Sood. Satish Kumar told that the victim family has been provided the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana in a span of only three months.
Beneficiary Savita Sood said that she had no idea that the bank had insured her husband’s savings account under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana by paying a premium of Rs 436. She said that she came to know when she received a call from the branch manager and was happy that she has got a great support in this hour of grief, for which she especially thanked the manager and staff of the Gramin Bank.
On this occasion, Himachal Gramin Bank employees Kishore Kumar, Subhash and other staff were present.
