Satyavan Pundir discussed relevance and role of scientific approach in society with students on National Science Day

Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti District Unit Shimla interacted with the students of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies of Himachal Pradesh University on the occasion of National Science Day.

State Secretary of the committee, Satyavan Pundir discussed the relevance, importance, and role of the scientific approach in society with the students and faculty members. Pundir said that the matter of scientific approach is not only a matter related to science, it is the attitude of a person’s behavior which is reflected in every step of the person.

Science has made human life easier through discoveries and the development of technology, but it is not necessary that every person who studies science and discovers science behave based on a scientific approach. Or do you look at every aspect from a scientific perspective only?

While discussing various dimensions of social science, the State Secretary of the Committee said that efforts will have to be made for solutions by analyzing the situations based on facts, figures, logic, etc. The ruling class plays a major role in establishing the beliefs and concepts prevalent in the society. Therefore, there is a need to create awareness on a large scale against social inequalities and inequities. Today, the challenge of saving democratic and constitutional values ​​is also a matter related to our perspective. The committee started a campaign on issues of scientific outlook throughout the country from 7 November to 28 February, which culminated in Calcutta on 28 February. Pundir appealed to the student community that there is a need to observe how today there is a conspiracy to ruin the youth by entangling them in drugs, based on a scientific perspective, and involve the youth in constructive work. Whereas the drug mafia would not want this. Therefore, the youth will have to organize and intervene in the direction of youth-oriented policies.

On this occasion, Dr. Randhir Singh Ranta, and Dr. Baldev Singh Negi also addressed the students. On this occasion, other faculty members of the department Dr. Pawan Kumar Atari, Dr. Kiran, Manuj, District Secretary of Knowledge Science Committee Naveen, and Advocate Bhuvan Thakur were also present.
