Sanwara toll plaza restored on NH-5
Sanwara Toll Plaza started a collection of tolls on Parwanoo to Solan parts of NH 5 in Himachal Pradesh as roads were restored for vehicular traffic on Friday.
The toll plaza situated at Sanwara between Parwanoo and Solan had been closed since August 5, following a series of landslides and disruptions, thus rendering it nonoperational for all types of vehicles.
According to the district administration, toll plaza was authorized to collect tolls as per normal routine.
The order notified by the District Magistrate cum Chairman DDMA, Solan on August 5 has now been revoked, with effect from August 25.
“Considering the current road condition of NH 5 between Solan to Parwanoo for the last 48 hours, it was deemed appropriate for all types of vehicle movement.” DM’s order stated.
On August 5, 2023, high highway toll plaza was exempted for local people as the highway was not functioning properly.
