Rs 30 lakh misappropriation: CBI seizes Rs 2 lac cash from Kullu sup- postmaster
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted searches at the premises of an accused Sub Post Master at Kullu and siezed an amount of Rs 2 lakh (approx.) cash and certain incriminating documents were recovered during searches.
According to a press release issued by the CBI after the action said that it registered the instant case against a Sub Post Master, posted at Sub Post Office, Sultanpur SO, Distt. Kullu (HP), on the allegations of misappropriating Government funds entrusted to her.
It was also alleged that during the period August 2023 to January 2024 an amount of Rs.36,30,125/- (Approx.) were misappropriated. Further, accused allegedly had prepared false/fake Daily Transactions Report.
The accused identified as Mrs. Mamta Thakur who was working as Sub Post Master at Sub-Post Office, Sultanpur in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.
