Rajiv Gandhi laid the foundation of modern India: Rajiv Rana

Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress State Chairman and Secretary Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Rajiv Rana paid a heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary in Gram Panchayat Badhani.

Rajiv Rana said in the press conference that

Rajiv Gandhi laid the foundation for the creation of modern India and took the country to new heights of science, technology and communication. His vision, which included empowerment of youth power, support for unity and secularism, is an invaluable legacy for us.

Former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, was a great son of India. He brought a ray of hope to crores of Indians and brought India into the 21st century with his unprecedented contribution. His many pleasant steps like reducing the voting age to 18 years, strengthening Panchayati Raj, telecom and IT revolution, computerization program, continuous peace agreements, women empowerment, universal vaccination program and new education policy emphasizing inclusive education brought transformative changes in the country.
