Rajgarh School celebrated annual function with great pomp
The annual prize distribution ceremony of PM Shri Utkrisht Sansthan Vaidya Surat Singh Memorial Government Model Senior Secondary School Rajgarh was celebrated with great pomp on Sunday. Director Himstar Nidhi Limited and retired spokesperson Sushil Rana participated as the chief guest. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Saraswati.
Spokesperson Rajesh Bharat told that the program was mainly divided into three parts which included academic, other activities and sports and cultural etc. In which first of all, 32 students of 12th class in the academy area were honored in the board merit list, 16 students of 10th class in the board merit list, students who secured first, second and third positions in each class from 6th to 12th class, 18 students selected for various scholarships, which include Swami Vivekanand Meritorious Scholarship, Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Scholarship, Himachal Pradesh Education Board Meritorious Scholarship etc. In which an amount of up to eight lakhs will be distributed to all the students annually.
Apart from this, under Rishiraj Memorial Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 500 was given to the topper of class 8, under Gyan Devi Memorial Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 2100 was given to the student securing first position in all the three faculties, under Vaidya Surat Singh Memorial Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 500 was given to the student securing first position in class 10, under Mahima Verma Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 15000 was distributed to 6 students this year, including two students from each of the three faculties. Similarly, under Padma Shri Doctor Jagat Ram Medhavi Scholarship, an amount of Rs. 5100 was distributed to the outstanding student of Biology on one year annual FD. Along with this, one student each was awarded class-wise for the highest school attendance in each class from class 6 to class 12. And in other activities, 7 students were honored in Children’s Science Congress, 13 students in Bal Mela, 17 students in Veer Gatha, eight students from different houses and two students for school captain, 55 volunteers of SIC and 43 cadets of NCC and two students of Eco Club were honored. And in the final phase of sports and cultural activities, three students who got first position at the state level, 61 students who got first and second position at the district level, 39 students who got first, second and third position at the block level were honored.
Chief guest Sushil Rana felicitated around 400 students for their excellent participation in various activities in the school. The chief guest said that the annual prize distribution ceremony is the mirror of the school through which the work done by the school in various fields throughout the year is presented.
The annual report was presented by Principal Kanta Chauhan before the chief guest and all other guests, parents and students in which complete information about the various activities of the year and all the classes run in the school were presented before everyone.
On this occasion, Dinesh Arya, head of the school management committee and other special guests Rajendra Chauhan, retired principal, Mahima Verma, retired English lecturer, Jaiprakash Chauhan, social worker were present. The stage was managed by Vinod Kamal and Subhash Thakur.
