Rackhsham village in Kinnaur gets season’s first snowfall
Rackhsham village of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh received its first snowfall in the last 24 hours as high peaks of the tribal district draped by a white sheet of snowfall plummeted night temperature under subzero.
According to IMD Kalpa had 0.2 cm snowfall and Kalpa in Kinnaur had 0.1 cm snowfall. Rackhsham village got one to two cm of snowfall and its high reaches were draped by five to ten cm of snowfall.
The minimum temperature of Kukumesri in Lahaul Spiti was minus 7.3 degrees, Kaza minus nine and Keylong nearly minus six degrees, Samdhu 5.3, Kalpa in Kinnaur minus four, Reckongpeo, Narkanda minus 1.4, Manali minus 0.5, Mandi minus 0.9 and Sundarnagar minus one.
The minimum temperature of Solan one, Shimla was 3.2, Jubberhati 3 .5, Dharamshala six degrees, Una 2.4, Nahan 8, Kangra 3.9, Chamba 2.2 and Dalhousie 1.5.
The minimum temperature is likely to further decline in the state.
