Priority is to educate, motivate and enroll dental practitioners into the Indian Dental Association: Aman Sachdeva

Educating, motivating and enrolling the dental practitioners into the Indian Dental Association would be the top priority, said newly elected president of Himachal Chapter of the Indian Dental Association Prof. (Dr.) Aman Sachdeva on Wednesday.

“Bringing all dentists in Himachal Pradesh under the umbrella of Indian Dental Association through outreach initiative to strengthen membership and unify dental professionals across the state would be the focus area and the association plans to expand the association’s reach by visiting various districts across the state”, said Sachdeva, in a statement issued here.

Sachdeva, who was elected as the president of the association at the recently concluded 23rd State Indian Dental Association (IDA) Conference held in Dharamshala has an experience spanning over two decades. He is also serving as a member of the Dental Council of India, representing Himachal Pradesh at the national level.

The elections were held last week and the term is for one year. The idea is to provide a platform to the working dentists to raise their issues, get abreast with latest knowledge besides exposure and interaction by being a part of the association, he said.

To encourage active student involvement and foster a stronger academic community within the dental community in the state, the newly elected president also proposed the publication of a state-level dental journal featuring specialty articles.

“The association would aim to strengthen the culture of Continuing Dental Education (CDE) by organizing regular seminars and workshops, ensuring that dental professionals stay aligned with the latest advancements in technology and clinical practice—an essential requirement for growth in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape”, he added.

Sachdeva, a widely respected dentist for his clinical expertise and professional leadership will brings a dynamic and progressive vision to the association and his election marks a promising new chapter for IDA Himachal as he steps forward to lead with vision, commitment, and renewed energy, the statement added.
