Pratibha meets Kharge

State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh today met All India Congress Committee President Malikarjun Kharge in New Delhi and gave him complete information about the organizational activities in the state. During this, he also gave information about the damage caused by heavy rains and landslides in the state.

Pratibha Singh told Kharge that due to heavy rains, landslides in her parliamentary constituency Mandi have caused huge damage to roads along with loss of life and property. She said that due to its limited resources, the state government is engaged in relief work along with rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads. The Aut and Manali national highways from Pandoh in Mandi district have been badly damaged. She said that the BJP government at the Center is not sensitive towards this disaster in the state. The state has not received any special financial assistance from the Centre.

Pratibha Singh said that All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi visited the landslide-affected areas in the state and inquired about the well-being of the disaster-affected people. She said that Priyanka Gandhi is also distressed by this disaster and has asked the state government to provide all possible help to the affected people.

Pratibha Singh said that she has demanded the Central Government declare this disaster in the state as a national disaster so that the state can get special financial help to deal with this disaster. She said that she would place this matter before the Central Government in a special session of Parliament.

While giving information about Bharat Jodo Yatra and conferences organized by the party across the state on the anniversary of Bharat Jodo Yatra of former All India Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Pratibha Singh said that the organization in the state is working with all the high command with full strength and unity. Following the guidelines. She said that the state Congress is fully prepared for the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. She said that if hardworking party workers are given some responsibilities in the government soon, it will infuse new blood among the party workers. She said that workers are the backbone of any party, hence there is a need to encourage them.

Earlier, Pratibha Singh, General Secretary of All India Congress Committee, Organization K.C. She also held separate meetings with Benugopal and state affairs in-charge Rajeev Shukla and informed them about various issues related to the organization.

Pratibha Singh expressed gratitude to Congress President Kharge for making her a permanent invitee member of the All India Congress Working Committee. During this, she expressed gratitude to all the leaders of the Congress high command including former national president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary KC Benugopal, Priyanka Gandhi, state affairs in-charge Rajiv Shukla.
