BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology has recently been established in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur. AIIMS has become the first institute in the state in which this department is present. The new department has been established with the approval of the Health Ministry and the Department of Expenditure. Two new DM courses of Neonatology and Endocrinology have been started in superspeciality. Besides, many MD and MS courses have also been started. All these works have been done in AIIMS, Bilaspur within just one year. In this one year, AIIMS provided many services to such people for which they had to go to outside states.
He said that BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has sent hearty congratulations to AIIMS, Bilaspur for this success and said that the entire team and faculty of AIIMS, Bilaspur have done excellent work in such a short time. AIIMS, Bilaspur is proving to be a boon for lakhs of people of Himachal Pradesh. The realization of AIIMS, Bilaspur would not have been possible without the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nadda ji always says in his conversation with everyone that it is Modi ji’s guarantee that AIIMS Bilaspur has reached this stage in record time. Our BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda ji has made a special contribution in taking AIIMS Bilaspur to this point. While being the Union Health Minister, he had paved the way for AIIMS in Bilaspur under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. AIIMS Bilaspur has been very close to Mr Nadda’s heart. Whenever he came to Himachal, he used to inspect AIIMS. Even now when he comes here, he definitely takes stock of AIIMS. After the formation of the BJP government in 2019, when he got the responsibility of the post of National President of BJP, he continued to regularly review the progress of the construction work of AIIMS, Bilaspur. He had every time told the officials and the companies involved in the construction of AIIMS that there should be no compromise with the quality of the institute and the caliber of the faculty.
There was a time when it took 22 years to build Delhi AIIMS, but in Bilaspur AIIMS was completed in just 5 years. That too, when its construction work was interrupted for almost two years due to Corona. Whenever there was any need for AIIMS Bilaspur, Nadda ji worked day and night to fulfill it. No shortage of any kind has been kept in AIIMS, Bilaspur. If any work is to be done by the Central Government, then it is also being done with immediate effect. I am confident that this institution will leave no stone unturned to live up to the trust with which patients come to this health institution for treatment.
Till now 21 OPDs are running in AIIMS Bilaspur. Specialty and super specialty departments at AIIMS Bilaspur have provided approximately 1.85 lakh consultations, IPD to 17 thousand patients and emergency services to 11 thousand patients in a year. The departments have provided approximately 1300 major surgeries, 600 minor surgeries and 2500 day care services. More than 6.27 lakh tests have been conducted at the hospital. About 45 thousand patients have also benefited from radiological services through state-of-the-art equipment i.e. MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Color Doppler, X-Ray.
