Pensioners are the invaluable asset of the society : Santram Sharma
Pensioners Welfare Association unit celebrated Pensioners Day with great pomp in Rajgarh on Tuesday. Various programs were organized on this occasion. Retired Principal Santram Sharma participated as the chief guest. While senior retired BPEO Dalip Singh Thakur was present as the special guest. On this occasion, many dignitaries including the chief guest were honored by presenting mementoes and all the pensioners were also administered the oath of unity and integrity of the nation.
Chief guest Sant Ram Sharma said that pensioners are the invaluable asset of the society who during their service period played an important role in implementing the government schemes and in the development of the state. He said that it is the duty of the pensioners to use the experience they have gained in various fields during their service period for the welfare of the society.
While welcoming the chief guest, Vijay Bhardwaj, President of Pensioners Welfare Association unit Rajgarh, said that the state government is well aware of the problems of pensioners and the government has promised to pay the outstanding arrears of pensioners during the coming financial year. He said that the state level Pensioners Welfare Association Executive is making every effort to bring every problem of pensioners before the government, as a result of which pensioners have got many benefits.
Ravi Dutt Bhardwaj, member of the State Pensioners’ Executive, said that though pensioners have reached the fourth stage of their lives, they should not consider themselves weak but should spend their valuable time in serving the needy people and social welfare. He said that pensioners should take special care of their health and stay connected with yoga and spirituality to keep themselves healthy as per the system.
On this occasion, famous writer and poet Prempal Arya recited a poem on the changes taking place in time. Apart from this, many pensioners including Sneh Sharma, Ranveer Thakur, Nirmal Sharma expressed their views.
Famous folk singers Parasram Ghalib, Dharampal Thakur, Jeevan Singh Tomar, Sneh Sharma presented bhajans and pahadi plays in their melodious voices and forced the pensioners present to dance.
On this occasion retired officers Dr. Yashwant Chauhan, KD Sharma, Rajendra Chauhan, Sherjang Chauhan, Chetram Sharma, Prem Chauhan, Bimla Bhardwaj and large number of passioners were present.
