Parmar varsity scientist bags award

Dr. Priyanka Thakur, Principal Floriculturist at the Regional Horticulture Research (RHRTS) Dhaulakuan of Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni was bestowed with Scientific Educational Research Society’s Women Scientist Award during the 2nd International e-conference on Advances in Agriculture Technology and Allied Sciences organized by Graphic Era University, Dehradun.

Dr. Priyanka was awarded for her contribution in the field of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture. She has worked on the propagation of native flowers and promoting dahlia cultivation in the region. She also delivered an invited lecture on the topic, ‘Mesmerizing Native flowers of Western Himalayas: Propagation, digitization and ornamental use’. Dr. Parvinder Kaushal, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. AK Joshi, Associate Director of RHRTS Dhaulakuan along with other scientists of the research station congratulated Dr. Priyanka on her achievement
