
Panchayat representatives should rise above party politics and work for public welfare: Aniruddh
The newly elected Panchayat representatives of Peeran Gram Panchayat of Junga Tehsil, led by former Kasumpti Congress Mandal President Attar Singh Thakur, paid a courtesy call on Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Aniruddh Singh. Extending his best wishes to the newly elected Panchayat representatives, the Minister urged them to strive to live up to the expectations with which the people have elected them.
Aniruddh Singh stated that gram panchayats are considered the basic unit of government and administration, where government schemes are implemented at the grassroots level. He urged panchayat representatives to rise above party politics and play a constructive role in the development of the panchayat and in the non-discriminatory functioning of the people at the panchayat level. He urged them to implement government welfare schemes at the panchayat level in the correct perspective and ensure that the poor and needy receive the benefits of government schemes.
He assured the Panchayat representatives that lack of funds will not be allowed to come in the way of development of the Panchayat.
