Padmashri Hariman Sharma calls on Governor Shukla

Padma Shri awardee Hariman Sharma paid a courtesy call on Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today. The Governor honoured him with a Himachali cap and a shawl in recognition of his pioneering contribution to horticulture, particularly for developing apple cultivation in the warm regions of Himachal Pradesh.

Commending his efforts, the Governor said, “By successfully cultivating apples in the warmer belts of Himachal Pradesh, Hariman Sharma has made a significant contribution to the horticulture sector. He has developed varieties of apples that can thrive in these regions, opening new avenues for local farmers and strengthening their economy. This revolutionary initiative is poised to bring remarkable transformation in the field of agriculture and horticulture.”
