Over 100 saplings planted at Peeran School

Under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, a forest festival was organized with great enthusiasm at the Government Senior Secondary School, Peeran on Thursday. The program was inaugurated by the school’s Principal, Rakesh Verma, by planting a guava sapling. On this occasion, the teachers and students of the school planted more than a hundred saplings of different species on the vacant land in the school premises. These included guava, date palm, amla, soap nut and many fruit and medicinal plants. The students participated enthusiastically in the tree plantation drive and took a pledge to protect the environment.
The Principal said that human life on Earth is unimaginable without forests. Everyone should plant trees to maintain ecological balance and provide a clean environment for future generations. He added that increasing deforestation is causing environmental imbalance, which is a matter of concern for all of humanity.
He instructed the students that they would be responsible for protecting and caring for the saplings they planted. This would increase the plants’ chances of survival, and these trees would prove useful to society in the future. During the Forest Festival, the school campus was filled with greenery and messages of environmental awareness.
