Only people have the power to bend money power: Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu attended a program of Himachal-Punjab Gorkha Association in Dharamshala today. He said that the former MLA and BJP candidate kept his mobile and the doors of his palace closed to the people of Dharamshala for 15 months. He said that there is such a big gate outside the palace of the former MLA that the common man is afraid of even going inside. He said that if a person does not belong to his family and party, what will happen to the people of Dharamshala? He said that the former MLA has no pain for the common man, he is just greedy for money. Such persons are also dangerous for politics.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the former MLA bought 82 properties worth more than Rs 10 crore in Dharamshala and surrounding areas in the name of his driver Nekram, which is his black money. He said that BJP candidates are land mafia and in the greed of money they even sold the votes of the people of Dharamshala. He said that the BJP candidates were working as property dealers and had no connection with public service. Together with BJP, he conspired to topple an elected government and reached Haryana to get the second installment of the deal. He said that the time has come to teach a lesson to the person who deals with public sentiments. He appealed to everyone to vote in favor of the Congress candidate on June 1.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress Party has fielded Devendra Jaggi in the Dharamshala by-election, who has an honest image and understands the plight of the common man, hence the voters of Dharamshala should make Devendra Jaggi victorious by casting maximum number of votes. He said that the Congress party has made a veteran leader like Anand Sharma its candidate from Kangra Lok Sabha seat, whose voice is not unheard anywhere. He will raise the voice of Kangra Lok Sabha constituency in the Lok Sabha with full strength.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the present state government gave old pension to the government employees in just 15 months of its tenure. Implemented a scheme to provide pension of Rs 1500 per month to women, under which they will be provided Rs 18000 in a year. A plan has been made to provide free education to the children of widows up to 27 years of age and financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh is being given to widow women to build houses. He said that the Congress government has started welfare schemes for every section so that no section is left deprived.
Earlier, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu took blessings from Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama at his residence.
On this occasion, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Raghuveer Singh Bali, Congress candidate from Dharamshala Devendra Jaggi and officials and members of Gorkha Association and a large number of common people were present.
