One person died and two others were injured in a road accident on Peeran Road
One person died on the spot in a road accident on Junga-Chhalanda-Peeran road last night at around 10:30 pm. While two others were injured and are undergoing treatment at IGMC Shimla. According to Police Chowki Junga, a private Alto car number HP 52C-1536 was going from Chail to Peeran. Three people Joginder (44), Sahil Sharma (31) and Neeta Ram (30) were travelling in it. All three are residents of Peeran village. At around 10:30 pm, the car lost control at a turn near Sergata and fell into a deep ditch. In which Joginder died on the spot while Sahil and Neeta Ram fell out when the car overturned and got injured. When Neeta Ram regained consciousness after the car fell, he came out of the ditch with great difficulty and informed Sahil’s family over the phone. According to Police Chowki Junga, they were informed about the accident at around 2 o’clock. As soon as the news of the accident was received, the local people gathered and with great difficulty took out Joginder’s body from the deep ditch. According to sources, this accident happened due to driver Sahil dozing off.
The car was being driven by the owner Sahil Sharma himself. According to their uncle Kamal Sharma, Joginder, Sahil and Neeta Ram were working as electric fitting workers in a hotel in Dumri near Chail for a long time. After work, all three were returning home at night. Joginder is survived by his wife and three children. About three months ago, his brother also committed suicide. Now, the wives and children of both the brothers are in deep sorrow and there is no one left to earn a living. According to the police, Joginder’s post-mortem has been conducted at IGMC and his body has been handed over to his family. Tehsildar Junga Narayan Singh Parmar said that the family of the deceased has been given an amount of twenty thousand as immediate relief and the injured have been given ten thousand each. There is a wave of mourning in the entire Panchayat due to Joginder’s death
