Northern Railway to restore train services on the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Railway line by September 30 

Northern Railway will restore train services on the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Railway line on September 30 after a gap of two months. Toy train services on the heritage route snapped down after a cloudburst near Shiv Baudi between Jatogh & Summerhill station on August 14, 2023, as a 100-met-long track was washed down by the flashflood.

The track also affected at one dozen other places was partly restored last week between the Kalka and Koti Railway line about 16 km long route.  The Official spokesperson of NR Railway informed that train services between Kalka and Solan would be restored on September 16 and it would be made functional till Shimla till September 30 in a phased manner.
