Nisha won many medals in boxing from block level to national level

If a person has a strong will and dedication to do something, then success will definitely knock at his door one day. One such story is of a young female boxing player Nisha. Her hobby has given her a chance to show her skills at many places from block level to national level. Born in an ordinary family, Nisha has brought laurels to her school and region by winning gold, silver and bronze medals many times during her studies in boxing by performing brilliantly at district, state and national level.
Nisha Devi is married in Peeran Chhanati, a Panchayat situated at the extreme end of Mashobra Block of Shimla District. She originally hails from Sharout Devthi Manjhgaon of Rajgarh Block. She completed her primary education in Sharout and passed 12th class from Government Senior Secondary School Devthi Manjhgaon. Although Nisha used to play volleyball, kho-kho and badminton in school, she was very interested in kabaddi and boxing.
Nisha participated in the national level boxing competition held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh in the year 2016 where she won the bronze medal in the 62 kg weight category and brought pride to the state. In the year 2015, Nisha was awarded the gold medal for her excellent performance in the state level boxing competition held in Karsog, Mandi. Due to which she was selected for the national level competition. Let us tell you that Nisha first secured third position in the state level boxing competition in Dharamshala while studying in class 10th. Apart from this, she secured first position many times in block and district level competitions in Sundarnagar, Dharamshala, Sirmaur.
After passing the 12th class examination, Nisha took admission in Guru Govind Singh Women’s College, Chandigarh. Where she participated in inter-college and inter-university boxing competitions and won prizes and medals in the 66 kg weight category many times. Nisha told that she wanted to become an international level boxing player but due to unfavorable conditions at home, she had to quit her studies after completing BA second year, due to which her dream of participating at the international level remained unfulfilled. She will regret this all her life.
