Nigulsair Landslide – Traffic restored on the Old Hindustan Tibet National National Highway 5

 The vehicular traffic was restored on old Hindustan Tibet National Highway number 5 after remaining closed for a couple of hours in the morning the district administration informed today.

A massive landslide hit NH-5 in Sunday morning at Nigulsari, in the Kinnaur district of Himachal.

According to the administration, the machinery was already deployed on the spot and immediately all the debris was cleared from the roads.

Now vehicular traffic was restored in the affected parts of the NH.

It is worth mentioning that a similar landslide came down on the road at the same spot 25 days ago. 

On September 6, a landslide damaged and caved in about 400 meters of the road. It was cleared 12 days ago.

Farmers are currently using the NH round the clock to fry their apple, and pea crops to market, but heavy machinery remained deployed on the vulnerable road point.
