NH should ponder over the increasing accidents on Dhali-Chharabra road

Shimla District Bharatiya Janata Party District President Keshav Chauhan has expressed deep concern over the frequent accidents on the Dhali-Chharabra road. He said that this is the second major accident of this season on this road. For the last ten years, during every apple season, five to seven major accidents have been taking place at this place, in which many times there has been heavy loss of life and property.
Keshav Chauhan said that he has spoken to the Chief Engineer of NH on this issue and has also informed the Deputy Commissioner Shimla. He says that there is some geometrical flaw in this road, due to which accidents are happening repeatedly at the same place.
He recalled that a long time ago a truck had gone off the road at this place after hitting several vehicles. He said that thousands of people pass through this road every day and if the brakes of any vehicle fail, it hits other vehicles as well.
Referring to the accident that happened yesterday, he said that a truck lost control and overturned and hit another vehicle. Fortunately, there was no loss of life, but the accident was quite big. The SHO of Thana Dhali has also confirmed that this is the second accident of this season. Local people say that there are not enough speed breakers on the road. Despite the technical condition of the vehicles being good, drivers lose control over the vehicle.
Keshav Chauhan urged the NH department to immediately send a team of experts to inspect the road and remove the flaws. He also demanded the government and administration to take immediate cognizance of this issue and ensure a permanent solution.
