New School time in Heatwave prone areas

Himachal Pradesh facing unprecedented heatwave in this summer season forced to change the school timings as new scheduled issued by the Education department from 7 am to 1230 pm or 7.30am to 12.50 pm in an order issued on Monday. Director  Education of Himachal Pradesh Amarjeet Singh Sharma directed all, theDeputy Directors of Higher Education, Principals,  Headmaster , Govt.  Sen.  Sec. ir High Schools in Himachal Pradesh Subject to change  school timings in summer schools .  He said that keeping in view the weather situation or heat waves in summer areas of the State , it is directed that the schools timings could be changed  or adjusted from 07:00 A.M.  to 12:30 P.M.  or 07:30 A.M.  to 12:50 P.M.  if desired in the interest of students & staff . He also sought compliance report of this order at the earliest, he added. It is worthwhile to mention that Summer closing school keep open Winter season and Winter closing school keep open in Summer season. However due to prolong dry spell and Heat wave in the of summer closing as well as winter closing schools affected in the state
