Nearly five hundred apple plants got burnt due to a fire in Bhadech

Yesterday, about five hundred apple plants were badly burnt due to the Bhishma fire in Bhadech Panchayat adjacent to Junga Tehsil Headquarters. Apart from this, a cow shed, a residential house, and farmers’ hay sheds have been heavily damaged. Which has been confirmed by Naib Tehsildar Junga Inder Kumar Chauhan. He went to the spot took stock of the damage and talked to the affected families. He has also instructed the officials of the concerned department to properly assess the loss.
According to Naib Tehsildar, due to arson, the apple orchards of Anil Thakur, Heera Singh, and Aminchand in Bahli Khanlog, a revenue village of Bhadech Panchayat, have suffered huge damage. Due to the fire, the nets on the apples have also been burnt. Similarly, Kamla’s cowshed was completely burnt in Bahali Khanlog. However, the cattle were thrown out of this cow shed. Apart from this, two rooms at the back side of Om Chand’s residential house have been badly damaged. He said that the report of the damage caused by arson will be sent to the government. The most important thing is that due to this arson, the Panchayat House and Patwar Circle Bhadech were saved from becoming victims of arson. Local Patwari Suresh Thakur said that the damage assessment work is in progress.
Affected gardener and former head Anil Thakur said that about 250 apple plants in his orchard had been destroyed by the fire. Most of the plants were laden with apples. He said that most of the rootstock and M-9 plants were planted in his garden. He said that this fire started from Bahli Nala and reached Khari Dhaliyana and Bhadech. In which most of the people’s gardens, crop fields, and grasslands have been burnt to ashes. After hard work, the local people controlled the fire.
