Nari Nyay Samman program was organized at Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla

On behalf of All India Mahila Congress, Nari Nyay Samman program was organized at Rajiv Bhawan, State Congress Headquarters on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of the country, late Rajiv Gandhi. During this, State Congress President Pratibha Singh honored the office bearers of Mahila Congress by giving them certificates.
While praising the women, Pratibha Singh said that the way they are contributing to the party’s work and social service along with their household is very commendable. She said that the main purpose of organizing this program of Nari Nyay Samman on Rajiv Gandhi’s birth anniversary is that he had given respect to women. By giving 50 percent reservation to women in Panchayats, he had ensured women’s participation in politics. She said that Nari Nyay Samman is a very important step of Congress in the direction of women empowerment.
On this occasion, Vrinda Singh, Shanta Rajta, Satya Verma, Pushpa Shobhata, Shashi Thakur, Kavita Kanwar, besides District Women Congress President Vinita Verma were specially present.
The women who were honored included Rekha, Dolma, Kanta Sharma, Prabha Sharma, Veena Vij, Kamlesh Thakur, Heera Dasi, Krishna Jaryal, Vinita, Sumitra, Prabha Verma, Vimala, Promila Bhardwaj, Meera Negi, Meenakshi, Ankita Chauhan, Geetanjali Thakur, Uma Modriyal, Babli and Lokeshwari who were honored with certificates.
