Mrs Geeta ‘Dastaan ​​- The World of Stories’ by Kapoor, CMD, SJVN Book Released

As part of the promotion of the official language Hindi, an innovative scheme has been started for the first time by SJVN to promote Hindi among school students and maintain the supremacy of Hindi literature. Today, Mrs. Geeta Kapoor, CMD, SJVN released a book titled ‘Dastaan ​​- A World of Stories’ under this initiative.

Mrs. Geeta Kapoor informed that under this innovation scheme, story writing competitions were organized among the students from class 3rd to class 12th studying in government schools of Shimla district. Students from schools of district Shimla participated in this competition and 67 original stories of the students were shortlisted. By distinguished jury panelists Mr. Srinivas Joshi, Mr. Atma Ranjan, and Mrs. Sangeeta Saraswat. Out of the shortlisted stories, fifteen stories were selected for compilation of short stories. These stories have been published in the form of a book named ‘Dastaan ​​- The World of Stories’. Story writing competitions were organized through Keekli Charitable Trust under the aegis of SJVN CSR Foundation.

Praising the selected students, Mrs. Geeta Kapoor said that it is truly inspiring to see such talent and dedication among our young learners. The stories composed by these students not only showcase their imagination but also their creativity, content, and craft. These skills are essential not only for academic success but also for personality development and future endeavors.

Along with this, today a one-day All India Official Language Seminar was also organized by SJVN in Shimla given the statutory provisions and expectations related to the official language policy and to promote the propagation of Hindi and make it useful to the public. The seminar was presided over by Shri Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Executive Director of Human Resources. In his address, he said that it is a matter of great pride that employees participate in Hindi-related programs with great enthusiasm and we are giving priority to the official language in everyday office work.

During the seminar, members of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, Dr. Puran Chand Tandon, Dr. Yatindra Kumar Kataria, Dr. Vikas Dave, Deputy Director (Implementation-NRAKS) of the Department of Official Language of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shri K. P. Sharma, country’s eminent Senior journalist Mr. Rahul Dev and Professor Ajay Srivastava threw light on the application of official language Hindi and its usefulness and discussed in detail. On this occasion, the Chairman of various offices of Narakas, a representative Official Language Officer, and officers and employees of SJVN were present.
