Monsoon takes loss of 150 lives & Rs 21448.3 Cr to property

South West Monsoon rains took as many as 150 lives of people in , Himachal and 393 animals died rendering total loss of Rs 2144.82 Cr to public and private property in the state.
A State spokesperson said in a press release issued here today that as many as 150 People dies in different rain related mishap and road Accident during the rainy season.
He said that 25 People died in various rain and road related mishap in Shimla, 18 in Kangra, 17 in Mandi, 16 in Sirmuar, 15 in Chamba, 14 in Solarn, 12 in Kullu, 10 in Bilaspur and eight in Una,Seven in Lahaul Spiti, four each in Hamipur and Kinnaur.
State Government claimed that it has disbursed asmany as 58 Cr as exgritia  assistance to next of deceased died in different mishaps.
State also reported loss of 340 cattles and other birds and animals in the rainy season causing loss of Rs2.18 Cr owners of livestock. About 200 cowshed damaged in the rain.
39 puccha and 13 Kaccha house damaged completely and, 33 Puccha and 315 Kaccha house we’re partly demaged in the rain and seven shops and three labour shads are damaged in the state.
The rain related mishap caused above Rs 27.22 Cr loss to private property and 2241.82 Cr to public property. Assest including Roads and Bridges of Public Works Department tunes to Rs 1397.78 Cr and Irrigation and Public Health department tune to Rs 753.95 Cr are washed away or demaged in flashflood and heavy rain.
Report said that during last two days of moonson rainfall took Four more lives and two other are missing in rainfall .one person each died in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Solan and Hamirpur and two persons are missing in Kangra district.
Met Office also given warning of very heavy rain in Baijnath area of Kangra, Ani, Manali and Banjar of Kullu, Thunag, Karsog, Padhar, Sundernagar and Sadar and Urban and Rural Shimla district, Paonta Sahib, Sangrah, Solan, Kandaghat and Kasauli in next 24 hrs.
