Minor molestation convict sentence 25 yrs RI 

The POCSO court of Solan district on Friday sentenced an convict for 25 years of rigorous imprisonment in a molestation of a 12-year-old victim.  
 pronouncing quantum of punishment  Additional Sessions Judge(Fast Track Special Court) Parvinder Singh Arora has also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000.
  In default of payment of fine, the guilty shall undergo further simple imprisonment for two years.
 The court said in its order that if the guilty pays the fine, then fifty percent would be paid as compensation to the girl child.
 The crime tool place on  July 17, 2020, case was registered against convict Munna Kumar Singh of Bihar in Mahila Police  under police station Baddi of District Solan under Section 376,342 of Indian Penal Code and Section 4(2) of POCSO Act. 
 Munna Singh lived in the neighborhood of the victim girl at that time.  
The child’s father had said in his complaint that when he and his wife had gone on duty, their 12-year-baby went to the convict’s room while playing. 
The guilty Munna asked him to sit in the room and seeing the opportunity, he indulged in the sexual molestation.
 On hearing the crying of the child, the son of the landlord informed the parents of the child and after that an FIR was registered in this matter. 
 The police arrested the culprit and after doing all the investigation,  challan was presented in the court on  September 8, 2020 within two months of the crime
 Arguing the case in the court, Special Prosecutor Sunil Dutt Vasudeva said that there is no place for such crimes in a civilized society and the amount of punishment should be given to the accused.  
On this, the court today convicted the accused and sentenced him to imprisonment for 25 years.
