Mercury plummet under subzero after rain & snow
Night temperature plummet under subzero and in minus after continue four days long spell of rain and snow in the Himachal Pradesh paralysed the normal life.
Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district was minus 12.3 degrees and two degrees below normal, Kalpa in Kinnuar minus 7.6 degrees,tourist resort Kufri minus 3.2 degrees, Dalhousie minus 1.4 degrees, Manali minus 0.2 degrees, Shimla minus 0.1 degrees ( three degrees below normal) Dharmshala and Solan 2.2 degrees, Chamba 3.4 degrees,Kangra 5.6 degrees, , Una 6.2 degrees, Mandi 6.4 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 7.7 degrees, Hamirpur 7.6 degrees and Bilaspur eight degrees respectively.
Light to moderate snowfall occurred in last 24 hrs in few places of Himachal Pradesh as Kukumsheri in Lahaul-Spiti had 6.9 cm snow, Chopal(Shimla) five cm Khadrala(Shimla) 2.5 cm.
