Many residential houses and cowsheds in Darbhog Panchayat are in danger
Heavy rain and landslide has disrupted normal life in Darbhog village panchayat of Junga tehsil. Residential houses and cow sheds of many people have come under threat due to landslide. Heavy rain has destroyed the fields and crops of farmers but there has been no loss of life.
Darbhog Panchayat Pradhan Tanu Bhardwaj said that Karm Singh’s house in Kathed village of this Panchayat has come under threat due to landslide, which has been evacuated and arrangements have been made for his family to stay in the village. Apart from this, Ajay Thakur’s house in Kanda village has also come under threat due to the collapse of a wall near his house. Due to a huge crack in the ground of Kyardhala school, this ground can collapse any time. The cowshed of Basant Singh of Jaghog has suffered a lot of damage due to the landslide at the back of his cowshed but the cattle have been shifted to a safe place. Prabhu Ram’s house of Bagna has suffered a lot of damage due to landslide at the back of his house. The Pradhan said that many houses including Omprakash Bagna, Rakesh Kumar, Shanti Bhushan and Indrajit of Khil village have come under threat. He said that the fields of many farmers have been destroyed due to landslide. Due to the torrential rain, people are staying awake the whole night in their homes.
Pradhan Tanu Bhardwaj said that she is visiting the entire Panchayat and taking stock of the damage caused by the rain, a report is being sent to the government. She said that the information about the damage caused by continuous rain in the Panchayat has been given to Tehsildar Junga.
