Many houses in Peeran Panchayat are in danger Three cowsheds were damaged – farmers’ fields were damaged
Heavy rain and landslide has caused devastation in Peeran village panchayat of Junga tehsil. Many residential houses and cowsheds in this panchayat have come under threat and the debris falling on the farmers’ fields has caused a lot of damage but there has been no loss of life.
Kiran Sharma, Pradhan of Peeran Panchayat, said that the house of Sheela Dutt, son of Jeetram, a resident of Chalog Panjal, is in danger due to landslide in front of his house. Similarly, the cowshed of Layak Ram and Prakash Chand, son of Karm Singh of village Khaltu in Nalta has been damaged due to which they have been forced to keep their cattle outside in the open under tarpaulin. Similarly, the cowsheds of Poonam Devi, daughter of Ramswaroop, Indra Singh, son of Jinku Ram, Anokhi Ram, son of Balakiya in Dhali Bagda are in danger and can collapse any time. In Peeran, the kitchen of Kishori Lal has been damaged due to landslide behind his house.
Kiran Sharma said that the houses of Khyali Ram, Sandesh, Gopi Devi Batola, Layak Ram of village Madhar, Ramanand of village Dhali Bagda and Mastram in village Batola have come under threat and these families are living in fear the whole night. The Pradhan said that the cowshed and house of Chaman village Batola and Nityanand are also under threat due to heavy rain. Apart from this, the house of Madan Lal of Bagda is under threat due to the collapse of the courtyard in front of his house. The house of Shunu Devi of Bagda has become unsafe due to rainwater coming from the roof of her house. Nek Ram of Dhali Bagda has suffered heavy damage to the fields and crops due to landslide. He said that the cowshed of Prakash Chand of Khilser has been damaged.
The Pradhan said that all the connecting roads of Peeran Panchayat have been closed due to heavy rains and landslides, due to which people are facing inconvenience in commuting. He said that if a person falls ill, it will be difficult to reach the hospital due to the closure of connecting roads. He has demanded from the government that on the lines of the year 2023, under MNREGA, sheds and other development works should be started for the affected families so that the affected families can get relief.
