Mandi district jolt by light Earthquake
An earthquake measuring 2.8 jolted the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh this morning.
Indian Meteorological Department spokesperson said in a press release issued today. The earthquake was recorded at 0452hrs at a Latitude of 31.60 North and longitude of 77.09 East and a four km depth near Mandi town about 65 kilo meters away from Shimla, the state capital.
It was felt by people but no loss of property or life was reported.
