Major Vijay Singh Mankotia joins BJP

Making second U- turn Former Congress Minister Vijay Singh Mankotia today joined BJP as party ignored him in Kangra poltical circle and put small fray in fray from Shahpur Assembly. Close Aids of Mr Mankotia informed that he joined BJP as party ignored him. Mr Mankotia was quitted as Çabinet member of Virbhadra Singh Goverment in 2004 after decision of Superme court of limited size of council of ministers. He bring out a audio CD againsit form Chief minister Virbhadra Singh in 2007 alleging that he had kick back or bribe allegedly allowing cement plants to some corporate. He however returned into Congresss party in 2012 after Virbhadra Singh and Mr Singh returned to power after CD case was dismissed by the trail Special Judge Shimla before elevation of Mr Virbhadra Singh as sixth term Chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. He joined public life soon after retiring from Army as Major on the leadership of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He was also become Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism in 1993. He became MLA first time 1982 to 85, 1985 to 90, 1990-92, 1993-98 and 2003 -2007. He also joined Janta Dal and Bahujan Samaj party and fought Election on BSP tickets 2007. He was known for love and hate relationship with former chief minister late  Virbhadra Singh and considered Stalwarts of Congress in Kangra district. Being tweaking side he could not concentrate on his pilitical carreer. He lost last Assembly Election as Independent the Condidate as  Congresss gave ticket to Kawal Singh Pathania the former voice chairman of HP forest development corporation. Mr Mankotia have also hold the post of Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Ex-servicemen League.
