Mainly & Sunny, Relief from the coldwave
The mainly dry and sunny weather gave respite from the coldwave condition 8n Himachal Pradesh on Sunday with improvising day temperature in last 24 hrs, the Met Office said.
Minimum temperature was normal in Himachal Pradesh as Keylong (Lahaul-Spiti) was minus 11.4 degree Celsius, Kalpa (Kinnaur) -2.3 , Kufri(Shimla) 1, Manali(Kullu)-0.4, Dalhousie (Chamba) 4.5, Solan 0.3, Shimla 4.8 , Bhuntar (Kullu)1.7, Dharmshala 7.2, Mandi 4, Kangra 4.9, Hamirpur 4.8 , Chamba 3 and Bilaspur 4.5 , Palampur (Kangra) 3.9, Una 4.6 and Nahan(Sirmour) 8.5 degree Celsius.
Maximum temperature of Keylong was -0.3 degree Celsius, Kalpa 10, Kufri 7.8, Manali 14, Dalhousie 10.2,8 Dharmshala 21.4, Mandi 22.4 and Solan 20, Shimla 14.8, Kangra 21.9, Hamirpur 21.6 Chamba 20 and Bilaspur 22.4, Nahan 20.4 and Una was highest in the state at 24.3degree Celsius.
As many as 121 roads are snowbound in the state. 91 roads are off in Lahaul-Spiti, 9 each in Shimla and Kullu seven in Mandi, and four in Chamba district.
26 watersupply scheme are closed in the state including 17 in Lahaul-Spiti, seven in Chamba and two in Chopal Subdivision of Shimla district.
North Portal of Atal Tunnel to Darcha road (NH-003) and Pangi road (SH-26) are open to four by 4 vehicles (with Tata Sumo chains). There is no need of permission for the local people of Lahaul and Pangi. A fresh feeble Western Disturbance likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from this night.
The Met Office forecast rain and snow at isolated places in the mid and high reaches in next 24 hrs.
