Addressing the journalists here today, State Mahila Congress Vice President Kavita Kanwar said that the Modi government at the Center does not understand the plight of women. In the last 10 years, the BJP government at the Center has proved to be a complete failure in controlling and curbing the rising inflation. Instead of providing subsidies or price control on essential commodities, the Central Government has written off bank loans worth Rs 10 lakh crore to some of its big friendly industrialists.
Kavita Kanwar said that the prices of daily-use items like vegetables, pulses, and edible oil are skyrocketing. The price of an LPG gas cylinder is above Rs 1050. He said that the constant pressure of managing limited resources, and the mental and emotional ill effects of housewives due to the worry of rising prices are having a huge impact on the health of women, for which the Modi government is completely responsible.
Kavita Kanwar said that Rahul Gandhi understands the country’s pain and is doing Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra against the injustice happening in the country. He said that the BJP is unsuccessfully trying to divert people’s attention from the burning issues of the country. He said that the Congress India alliance will achieve a landslide victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In this press conference, State Vice President of Mahila Congress Vrinda Singh, State General Secretaries Shashi Thakur and Satya Verma, District Shimla Mahila Congress President Vanita Verma, besides Krishna Jariyal, Vinny Sharma, Usha Mudriyal and Basanti Basta were present.
