Lions Club Shimla donates shoes to underprivileged children at Him Giri Kalyan Ashram
Continuing its dedication to humanitarian causes, Lions Clubs Shimla recently visited Him Giri Kalyan Ashram in Shimla, which provides free education, meals, and hostel facilities to children from poor and tribal families in Himachal Pradesh.
The President of Lions Club, Man Mohan Verma, shared that, in response to the Ashram’s need for PT shoes for its students, the club decided to donate shoes to all 42 children residing there. The donation, amounting to ₹26,500, was handed over to the Ashram representatives by the club members.
The event saw the participation of Lions Club’s President, Man Mohan Verma, along with Treasurer C.L. Sankhayan, Vice President O.P. Mehta, Sufal Sood, Kapil Dev Sood, Mukul Sood, and other club members. The representatives of Him Giri Kalyan Ashram expressed their gratitude for the ongoing support provided by the Lions Club to the children over time.
