Lions Club Shimla fights hunger by providing nutritious meals to over 1500 at IGMC hospital
The Lions Club continues to make a significant impact in the community by offering nourishment, support, and hope to those in need. Through their Hunger Project, they exemplify the power of compassion, service, and community engagement in combating food insecurity.
As part of their ongoing “Food for Hunger” initiative, the Lions Club Shimla organized another project at IGMC Hospital on October 1st, starting at 11 am. Lion Man Mohan Verma, the Club President, shared that nutritious meals were provided to patients and their attendants, serving approximately 1,500 people.
On this occasion, the Lions Club was represented by its President Lion Man Mohan Verma, Project Chairperson Lion P. S. Panwar, Secretary Lion M. K. Sharma, Treasurer Lion C. L. Sankhayan, Vice President Lion O. P. Mehta, Lion K. D. Chandel, Lion J. P. Sharma, Lion Sunil Sood, and other active members, all of whom participated in serving the meals. Their continued efforts underline the Club’s dedication to addressing hunger and supporting the community.
