Lions Club Shimla Distributes Blazers to 33 Students
Reaffirming its commitment to the service of humanity, education and dignity, Lions Club Shimla distributed school uniform blazers to 33 students of Government High School, Sanhog Uparla, Shimla-5, on Monday, September 21, 2026. The service project was chaired by Lion Gopal Krishan Vaid.
Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Usha Chauhan, along with TGT Arts Mr. Nand Kishore and other members of the school staff, welcomed the Lions Club members and appreciated the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of Lions Club Shimla, Lion Prof. Daleep Sharma, said that service to humanity is at the heart of Lionism. He said that providing blazers to students before the onset of winter was a small but meaningful effort to protect them from the cold while also promoting their self-esteem and dignity.
Those present on the occasion included Lion O. P. Mehta, President, Lions Club Shimla; Lion Manmohan Verma, Area Leader; Lion Gopal Krishan Vaid, Zone Chairperson; Lion J. P. Sharma; Lion Anil Sood; Lion Subhash Aggarwal; Lion Vikas Seth; and other members of the Club.
