Landslide at village Banet Chamba
DEOC Chamba has informed that an incident of Landslide occurred at 4.30 am today at Village Banet, Tehsil Chowari District Chamba.
In the incident a house has collapsed in which 03 Persons are missing so far. According to the latest information no trace of the missing persons has been found yet. Search Operation is going on with the help of police and revenue department. An incidents of flash flood also occurred at Balh, Thunag, Mandi, Lamathach area of district Mandi at 4.10 am today in which water has entered into houses & shops and caused damaged to vehicles which are parked along the road and residents of areas are trapped inside their houses.The entire family of Mr. Star Mohd s/o Late Mr. Lal Hussain of Sandoa Purana Katola is missing due to floods. Search continues. Just now a dead body has been found about half a kilometer below the house, its identification is being done. Locals are searching for the rest of the family members.The Police Control Room that NH-21 near Pandoh is closed due to landslide. Mandi-Kullu Via Kataula-Katindi road has been blocked due to landslide near Goda Farm (Kamand). and the movement of vehicles has stopped.An incident of Flash flood occurred at Village Kheri Sujanpur to jungleberi road District Hamirpur PS Sujanpur at 6 am today rising water level in the river Beas at Mahal Khairi, about 10-12 houses are on the verge of drowning, 15-20 people are trapped inside them, including some small children. Two Animals are trapped in the water of the latter.
Panchayat Pradhan Khem Singh’s house has been demolished due to a severe landslide in Kashan under Gohar development block of Mandi district. Eight family members including Khem Singh are buried inside the house. At this time, the local people are rescuing the trapped people by breaking the slabs of the grounded house themselves, but they are not able to walk in front of the terrible debris. Although the Tehsildar has left for the spot along with the team force on behalf of the administration, but due to the blockage of the road, he is unable to reach the spot. The Vice President of the local panchayat told that he is trying to break the slab with the help of the villagers.
One Kacha House has been collapsed at Shahpur in Kangra district due to which one 9year old child has been died in Kanga district. 18 persons out of 22 stranded evacuated safely operation is going on
