Kufri, Shimla & Dalhousie wraps white blanket of snow

This capital town and Tourist resort Kufri and Dalhousie wrapped in thick blanket of snowfall dislodging normal life in last 24 hrs, district administration started clearing snow from major roads of town including Hindustan Tibet National Highway at Kufri.
Dupty Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi said that Trafic was disrupted on Lakkarbazar-IGMC and Hindustan Tibet National Highway between Kufri and Narkanda.
Met Office recorded 45 cm snow at Kothi in Kullu till 0830hrs on Thursday, Khadrala in Shimla 10 cm, Chopal & Nichar in Kinnaur seven cm each, Morang & Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti district five cm each, Bijahi in Mandi , Tourist resort Kufri, Dalhousie and Keylong three cm each, Kalpa in Kinnaur had 6.6 cm snow, Shimla two cm.
The gateway to Lahaul Spiti district Rohtang pass and Kunzum pass Lady of Keylong Baralacha Saptarshi hills in Lahaul-Spiti district, Kinner Kailash of Kinnaur, Pangi, Bharmour and Manimahesh of Chamba, Shikari Devi of Mandi,  Dhauldhar ranges of Kangra, Chanshal pass, Dodrakawar and Churdhar of Shima, Giripar and Haripur dhar of Sirmaur got moderate to heavy snowfall which was continue.
Due to Snowfall as many as 259 link, three National Highway and one state highway blocked, 477 power supply and 37 water supply schemes were affected in the state.
Inceasent rainfall paralyzed normal life in the state  Chawari in Chamba had 40 mm rain, Pachhad in Sirmaur, Kasol  & Manali Kullu 16 mm each, Banjar 15 mm, Seobagh 14 mm, Wangtoo in Kinnaur, Kasauli in Solan, Saloni in Chamba & Baldwara in Mandi had 12 mm rain each.
Dharamshala & Palampur in Kangra had 11 mm each, Bhoranj in Hamirpur 10 mm Chamba, Gaggal in Kangra, Kandaghat in Solan & Sarahan in Shimla nine mm each and Rohru in Shimla eight mm.
Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul Spiti was minus 4.8 degrees, Kalpa in Kinnuar and Kufri minus two degrees,
Tourist resort Manali  0.5 degrees, Dalhousie minus 1.3 degrees, Shimla 0.4 degrees and Solan 3.7 degrees, Bilaspur five mm,  Dharmshala 5.4 degrees Chamba 7.3 degrees, Mandi  8.4 degrees, Hamirpur 6.8 degrees, Kangra 8.4 degrees, Una 7.1 degrees and Nahan 8.4 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast widespread rain or Snowfall in most places in the state issuing red, orange and yellow warning of very heavy snowfall, thunderstorms and lighting.
