Kanwar re-elected president of Old Age Helpline Society

The biennial elections of the Old Age Helpline Society were held at Durga Club Solan on the occasion of 21st Foundation Day.
Shailendra Singh Kanwar was re-elected as President, Kamlesh Oberoi as Senior Vice President, Ramesh Kumar and Yadavindra Singh Chauhan as Vice Presidents, VL Korla as Secretary, Balbir Singh Thakur as Joint Secretary and SR Garg was elected treasurer. The elections were held unanimously. The office- bearers were authorized to select the team of executive members.
On the occasion of 21st Foundation Day, the occasion was presided over by 92 year senior most member Mrs. Surya Savitri Nath.
The Society has 150 elderly persons working for the social cause since 2003.
The senior members of the Society above the age of 80 years were felicitated, namely UN Khosla, PL Awasthi, SC Tiwari, SK Nayyar, AK Dhar, VK Rai and HL Shandil. The second senior most member 91 year old Shiv Singh Chauhan honoured them.
The house thanked the outgoing Executive Committee of the Society for steering the organization well for the wellness of society during COVID-19 pandemic, and before and after that. The house also welcomed the gave repeated applauses to the new steering team of the society. The chief of the Society Kanwar assured house to expand the activities of the society in the next two years.
