Continues to Set New Benchmarks in Technical Higher Education

Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, proudly
organized a press meet at its picturesque and state-of-the-art campus, marking a significant milestone-
25 Years of Educational Excellence. Over the past two and a half decades, JUIT has emerged as a
premier institution of higher learning, consistently setting benchmarks in technical education, research,
and innovation, while positioning Himachal Pradesh as a preferred destination for quality education.
The press meet commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh, Associate Dean
(Innovation) & Media In-charge, JUIT, who highlighted the objective of the interaction and
elaborated on the university’s sustained commitment to delivering high-quality education and fostering
academic excellence among young aspirants.
Brig. R.K. Sharma (Retd.), Registrar and Dean of Students, provided insights into the genesis and
growth of JUIT, emphasizing its distinct academic ecosystem, robust infrastructure, well-managed
residential facilities, and a vibrant campus life enriched with co-curricular and extracurricular
opportunities.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, in his address, underscored the
university’s vision centered on research, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. He
highlighted key initiatives such as the Directorate of Research and Innovation and the advanced
Ramanujan Supercomputing Facility, which are driving cutting-edge research and interdisciplinary
collaboration. He further noted that JUIT students continue to secure prestigious internships and
placements in leading organizations including Amazon, Google, and top IITs. The university’s strong
alumni base of over 8000 graduates, with more than 26% pursuing successful careers abroad,
stands as a testament to its global academic impact.

Key Achievements and Recognitions
Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) has established a state-of-the-art Drobotics Lab,
dedicated to advancing robotics, drone technology, and artificial intelligence. 
A team of JUIT students qualified for Phase 2 of the prestigious Surya Dronathon 2025, organized
by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Drone Federation of India, which was held from 18-
24 August, 2025 at Sumdo Village, Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.

NAAC A+ Accreditation
JUIT has been accredited with the prestigious NAAC A+ Grade with a CGPA of 3.40, reaffirming its
unwavering commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and institutional governance. This
recognition further enables the university to expand its academic offerings, including innovative
interdisciplinary and certificate programs aligned with NEP 2020.

Research, Innovation, Patents, and Placements
JUIT has established strong collaborations through multiple MoUs with leading national and
international institutions. The university has been granted 55+ patents, with several more in the
pipeline, highlighting its focus on translational research and innovation-driven outcomes. The 2025
placement season recorded a highest package of ₹50 LPA (offered by Google), reflecting strong
industry confidence. The university achieved an impressive 95% placement rate with 261+ students
placed and 316 total offers, showcasing consistent placement performance across branches. The
average package increased to ₹7.19 LPA (5.5% growth YoY), with top recruiters including leading
global companies such as Google, Amazon, Infosys, and Cognizant.

NBA Accreditation
The B.Tech Biotechnology program offered by the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics
continues to hold NBA accreditation (2024–2027), reinforcing the quality and relevance of its
academic programs.
