Institutional delivery is being encouraged in CH Junga: Dr Manoj
All facilities are being provided to women in Civil Hospital Junga for institutional delivery. Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Verma said that in the absence of a gynecologist in the hospital, the staff makes efforts to ensure normal delivery. He said that recently a pregnant woman from Meshu village had a normal delivery in the hospital in which the baby’s weight was found to be three and a half kilograms whereas normally the weight of a newborn is two and a half to three kilograms. Both the mother and the baby are healthy in the hospital. He said that all the facilities required by pregnant women at the time of delivery like medicines, food etc. are provided free of cost in the hospital. He said that the government is giving special emphasis on institutional delivery and emergency services are provided round the clock to the patients in the hospital.
