Industrialists upset due to power cut in Himachal, deepening crisis on business, government insensitive: AAP
The Aam Aadmi Party has put the BJP government in the state in the dock for power cuts in the industrial areas of Himachal Pradesh. AAP has taken a jibe at the state government when there is a power crisis. Party’s state spokesperson Gaurav Sharma took a jibe at the BJP government and said that under the rule of the BJP government in Himachal, a power-generating state, today there has been a crisis in factories. Businessmen and industrialists have come to the point of locking their factories. Gaurav Sharma said that the situation is that there is a power cut of six hours every day, due to which business has become a crisis. The power cut is affecting the production in industries due to which there has been a reduction in production by 30 percent. He said that this time Himachal has received good snowfall, but still there are power cuts in the industrial areas of the state, which is affecting the business. This is affecting the cement, steel and textile industries.
Gaurav Sharma took a jibe at Himachal’s Energy Minister and said that although the Energy Minister has no understanding of statistics. To whom how much electricity is being sold and when will the people and industrialists of the state get rid of this crisis. Gaurav Sharma said that if we look at the other side, Punjab, which buys electricity from Himachal, is being provided electricity to the people 24 hours a day, whereas Himachal, which produces the most electricity, is facing power crisis. He said that about 30,000 MW power is being generated in Himachal from various projects but still the power crisis is deepening. Today the industrialists of the state are worried that what will happen to them if their business is closed.
Gaurav Sharma informed that Himachal is the only state which sells electricity to five states of the country, but today there are power cuts in Himachal. Himachal is selling electricity to states like Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, yet the government of common man in Delhi and Punjab is providing electricity to the people 24 hours a day. Earlier in Punjab and Delhi, there used to be no electricity for many hours, but today the situation is that 24 hours electricity is being given to the people there, due to which people are breathing a sigh of relief. He said that in Himachal, Jairam government is putting power cuts for 6-6 hours due to which business is coming to a standstill. In such a situation, the Aam Aadmi Party asks Jairam that when will the people of Himachal get rid of the power cut. He said that today Jairam needs to learn from Arvind Kejriwal model that how people are provided 24 hours electricity.
