Induction training for newly recruited medical officers begins
A 14-day induction training program for newly recruited medical officers, courtesy of the State Health Department, began at the State Health and Family Welfare Institute, Parimahal. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Gopal Bari, Director of Health Services. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jagota, Principal of the Institute, was also present.
In his address, the Director stated that this induction training program is being conducted to provide medical officers with detailed information about the state’s public health system, service conduct rules, administrative duties, and various programs operated under the National Health Mission. The primary objective of the training is to equip medical officers to perform administrative and programmatic responsibilities at the field and institutional levels.
Dr. Yugveer Singh, course coordinator of the training, said that through this program, medical officers will be provided with necessary knowledge related to their clinical responsibilities as well as administrative efficiency, ethical values and effective health care management.
He said that during the training, subject experts will conduct lectures, interactive sessions and practical training on topics related to National Health Mission, public health management, administrative processes and service delivery, so that the participating medical officers can provide services with greater efficiency, responsibility and sensitivity in their field of work.
Assistant Course Coordinator, Sanjana Dafaik, is playing a key role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the training. She explained that this training program by the Health Department is an important step towards strengthening the quality of health services in the state
