Indira Gandhi and Sardar Patel remembered
On the death anniversary of India’s first woman Prime Minister, Iron Lady Late Indira Gandhi, party leaders, officials and workers offered flowers on her photograph at the State Congress Headquarters Rajiv Bhawan. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, State Congress President Pratibha Singh, Shimla City MLA Harish Jarartha, Chief Minister’s Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan were specially present. During this, Pratibha Singh also administered the oath of unity of the country to all the party officials and workers present here.
Remembering late Indira Gandhi, Pratibha Singh said that her sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the country will always be remembered. She said that Indira Gandhi made India’s strength known to the whole world through her diplomacy. She said that India will always remain indebted to her remarkable contribution and her supreme sacrifice.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that Indira Gandhi was such a woman Prime Minister of the country who made her mark in politics and diplomacy in the world. He said that this country can never forget Indira Gandhi, she will always be our source of inspiration.
During this period, Congress leaders remembered Sardar Patel, known as the Iron Man of the country, on his birth anniversary and paid tribute to him by offering flowers on his photograph.
