In the wake of elections duties – Nine IAS & HPAS get additional charges

Himachal government on Thursday handed over the additional charge of the IAS officers who were on assembly election duty in 5 states of the country to other officers.

 Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar has been given the charge of Secretary, of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Technical Education, Fisheries, and MD Financial Corporation. Presently Priyatu Mandal is looking after this department. Priyatu Mandal will now be on election duty outside the state for about a month.

HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur has been given the charge of CEO cum Secretary HIMUDA and Chief Administrator State Selection Commission. RK Purathi has been watching it till now.

 Commissioner Excise and Taxation Younas Khan has been given the responsibility of Director cum Special Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and MD Power Corporation.

Secretary Public Service Commission DK Ratna was given the additional charge of Director Urban Development Department and CEO cum MD Smart City Shimla, Mission Director National Health Mission Priyanka Verma was given the additional charge of Director TCP and Director Digital Technology Mukesh Repswal was given the additional charge of Director Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs.

Special Secretary Tourism and Civil Aviation Vijay Kumar has been made Special Secretary Health and CEO Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and MD Medical Services Corporation.

Special Secretary Urban Development Department Vinay Kumar has been made Director of Public Finance and Public Enterprises cum Special Secretary of Finance and Director of Treasury Accounts and Joint Secretary of Revenue. Anil Kumar has been given the additional charge of Joint Secretary, Jal Shakti Department.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has deployed 20 IAS and 10 IPS of state for the duty of assembly elections being held in five states. 

 IAS officer Priyatu Mandal, RK Purathi, Rugved Miland Thakur, Gopal Chand, Kamal Kant Saroch, Rohit Jamwal, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, and, Ram Kumar Gautam were going to attend election duties in various states.
