Shri Thakur also addressed the gathering earlier. It takes around 3 hours 35 minutes, it can be completed in just 40 minutes in a few days. A total of 14 tunnels will be made in this. It used to take 7 hours to go from Kiratpur to Manali, now it will take maximum 3 hours. Jalandhar The contract has been given to double the widening of the road coming from Hamirpur-Dharampur-Mandi at a cost of ₹1200 crore. The widened road from Hamirpur to Bilaspur has already been built at a cost of ₹300 crore. Now the road from Mataur to Hamirpur-Bilaspur-Shimla which is more than 200 kms will be reduced to around 180 kms. Due to reduction of about 40 kms, the time taken to reach Dharamshala from Shimla today is 6 hours. Only 3 hours left.”
