In the Gram Sabha meeting, a resolution was taken to make Satlai a drug-free Panchayat
Following the formation of new Panchayats, the first Gram Sabha was held in Gram Panchayat Satlai of Development Block Mashobra, chaired by Panchayat Pradhan Jai Singh Thakur. The Pradhan stated that the Gram Sabha had a full quorum and discussed various issues related to the development of the Panchayat area. BDC member Daulat Ram was also present on the occasion.
Chairing the meeting, Pradhan Jaisingh Thakur urged the people to pledge to make Satlai Panchayat a drug-free panchayat. On this occasion, awareness was raised about the de-addiction campaign, especially the increasing ill effects of chitta (heroin) among youth.
On this occasion, a committee was formed under the Forest Rights Act in the newly formed Panchayat’s Jhandi ward. Proposed development projects in the Panchayat area were also discussed.
The head said that in the near future, proposals for construction of three important roads of the Panchayat including Satlai to Kataiya, Kataiya Majhar to Juggar and Chikhar to Jhandi School will be sent to the government, so that better road facilities can be provided to the villagers.
Many villagers of the Panchayat including Deputy Pradhan Jagdish Sharma, Ward Members Vinod, Leela Nand, Amita, Ruchi Verma and Mamta, Panchayat Secretary Naresh Kumar and Village Employment Assistant (GRS) Rekha Sharma were present in the meeting.
