In my short political journey of 13 years, I have become a Congress ticket distributor : Vinay
When I entered politics about 13 years ago, many prominent leaders, including Musafir, advocated for a Congress ticket for me. In this short political journey, I have now become a ticket distributor for the Congress party. This was stated by Himachal Pradesh Congress President and Renuka MLA Vinay Kumar while addressing Pachhad Congress workers upon his arrival in Rajgarh last evening. Vinay Kumar was warmly welcomed upon his first visit to Rajgarh after becoming the state Congress president.
Congress President Vinay Kumar sarcastically remarked that he was the second person in Sirmaur to hold this position in the party after Dr. Y.S. Parmar. While Sirmaur boasts numerous prominent Congress leaders who have won six or seven times from their constituencies, none have ever achieved this position. However, he immediately remarked that no Congress leader should take this position otherwise.
He said that after becoming the state Congress president and reaching the Delhi high command, he responded to Rahul Gandhi’s question that the Renuka Congress model would be effectively implemented throughout the state. His main objective is to ensure Congress’s repeat victory in the state in 2027, for which he will personally visit the booth level to review the committee’s work. He will also ensure that committees are not limited to paper, and for this, party workers will be given priority.
Vinay Kumar said that during Operation Lotus, he too was offered numerous inducements by the BJP, but he never compromised on his ideals. He said that the organization would soon be inaugurated at the district and block levels, followed by the formation of a state executive. He added that currently, opposition MLAs are present in 28 assembly constituencies in the state. He said that the Congress party will be strengthened by holding meetings with workers in these constituencies first. He called on Pachhad Congress workers to unite and strengthen the party.
Earlier, former Assembly Speaker G.R. Musafir stated that he would make every effort to once again strengthen the Congress stronghold in Pachhad, so that the Congress flag can be re-established in Pachhad in 2027. Former Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dayal Pyari also shared her views on this occasion.
On this occasion, senior Congress officials Devendra Shastri, Vivek Sharma, Dinesh Arya, Pradeep Surya, Shakuntala Prakash, Pariksha Chauhan, Usha Tomar, Asha Prakash, Nagar Panchayat President Jyoti Sahni and a large number of Pachhad Congress workers were present.
