BJP state spokesperson Sandipani Bhardwaj reacted sharply to the serious issue of drug samples failing in Himachal Pradesh, saying that this is a very serious matter directly related to public health and is the result of the Congress government’s gross negligence. He said that the failure of 47 drug samples manufactured in the state to meet standards is proof that the drug manufacturing and quality control system has completely collapsed.
Sandipani Bhardwaj said that the failed drug samples include everyday and life-saving medications such as paracetamol, metformin, ramipril, sodium valproate, clopidogrel, aspirin, and mebeverine hydrochloride. This directly threatens the lives of patients in the state. He said that the failure of samples from pharmaceutical units in Solan, Sirmaur, and Una districts is a very worrying situation for a pharma hub like Himachal.
The situation worsened due to government patronage and negligence of employees
The BJP spokesperson alleged that these serious irregularities in drug manufacturing are the result of government patronage and negligence on the part of concerned government officials. Inspection mechanisms have been weakened, quality checks are lax, and regulations are being deliberately ignored. He said that such incidents will not stop until responsible officials and employees are held accountable.
Congress government’s negative attitude towards Medical Device Park
Sandipani Bhardwaj said that it is no secret that the Congress government does not want to promote the Medical Device Park, and therefore its work is being constantly disrupted. He said that while an ambitious project like the Medical Device Park could generate high-quality medical products, investment, and employment opportunities in the state, the Congress government’s policy indifference and obstruction are harming the project.
He said that if the Medical Device Park had been taken forward in a planned manner, better control on the quality of medicines and medical products would have been possible, but both the intention and policy of the Congress government are questionable.

He clarified that the Bharatiya Janata Party will not remain silent on this issue and will expose those who compromise public health and ensure strict action.
Congress government does not want to take forward the medical device park, promises of employment to youth are hollow – BJP
BJP spokesperson Sandipani said that when the Congress government refuses to build a crucial industrial project like the Medical Device Park, all government promises of employment for the state’s youth are completely hollow and a sham. Projects like the Medical Device Park could have created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, but the Congress government’s policy indifference and deliberate obstructions prove that job creation is not a priority for the government.
The BJP said that the Congress government’s policies are completely contrary to its stated guarantees. On one hand, they promise jobs from platforms, while on the other, they are discouraging industry and investment. This situation clearly betrays the youth and plays havoc with the state’s future.
BJP said that the youth of Himachal has understood well the difference between the words and actions of the Congress government and will respond to this deception when the time comes.
